Generations of the Tomarchio Family Are Intimately Involved in the Company at All Levels
Starting in 1977 as a property developer/builder, Ross Tomarchio has over 40 years’ experience in the construction industry, in particular, residential unit construction. During this period he has built over 30 buildings ranging from houses, townhouses and walk-up units through to high rise apartments.
Currently Ross oversees all of Opalyn’s developments to ensure the quality control is in order and maintained to the highest levels.
Under advice from Ross, his two sons Darren and John pursued trades in the same industry.
Darren Tomarchio started his trade as an apprentice plumber in 1986 and once his apprenticeship was finished, he proceeded to work as a plumbing contractor in his own right for a period of 7 years. Darren then went back to study for his Diploma in house building, receiving this in 1996 and this then led on to Darren gaining his Advanced Diploma in construction in 2010.
John Tomarchio started his electrical apprenticeship in 1988. Upon completion of his apprenticeship he worked as an electrician for a period of two years and then went on to run his own electrical contracting business for four years, with clients such as The University of Queensland. John also went to further his studies for his Diploma in house building receiving this in 1996 and then went on to his Advanced Diploma in construction gained in 2006

In 1998 Ross, Darren and John united to form a construction company called Marcelbridge Pty Ltd and traded as this company for a period of approximately 5 years.
A name change in 2001 to Opalyn Constructions Pty Ltd was the most important step in the formation of what is today the Opalyn Property Group. Together, they have developed a reputation for delivering outstanding residential properties that reflect the real needs and aspirations of those who occupy them.
Over the years, the Tomarchio family have leveraged their experience and expertise to develop a commendable property portfolio through-out the Brisbane area.
