Opalyn Property Group News: July 2006

Welcome to our third issue of Opalyn Property News for 2006.  Our exciting new development Central Park North is well and truly out of the ground and this month we give you a closer look at Chermside and explain why it is fast becoming a second ‘city centre’ for the northside of Brisbane.

Central Park North

Central Park North offers residents a luxurious range of amenities unlike any other development in the area.  With spacious, stylish interiors, European appliances, large balconies and an onsite library, gymnasium and swimming pool, why not consider purchasing one of these apartments for your next home or investment.  Now selling from only $285,000, choose from a selection of 1, 2 & 3 bedroom air-conditioned apartments.

Director of Opalyn Property Group, Mr John Tomarchio says “People can see what’s happening in Chermside and feel pretty confident that they are going to have some growth on their investment due to how much is being spent on infrastructure and all the new amenities in the area.”

Our sales office is located cnr Playfield & Way Sts Chermside and is open from 2pm to 4pm daily.  Contact Position Properties on (07) 3368 2300 if you would like more information, or visit www.centralparknorth.com.au today.

Chermside …. a suburb set for growth

Demand for property within walking distance of the Westfield Shopping Centre expansion will certainly increase momentum of the local market.

Our third development Park Lane, also eight storeys, will comprise 65 units.

Richard Lawrence of Position Properties confirms current demand is predominantly from owner-occupiers who already live on the northside of Brisbane and know the area well.  Clients range from 60 years –plus retirees downsizing from their family homes in surrounding areas, to young professionals aged in their 30s who work in the area or in the Brisbane CBD.

“It’s about lifestyle and creating better living in the precinct.  Chermside is a CBD in itself and this is what the government is trying to achieve and while the government keeps encouraging it, the area will continue to thrive,” Mr Lawrence states.

Surrounding Roadworks

The ‘Kitty Hawk Drive’ project which links Hamilton Road to Murphy Road has reached the final stages of completion.

This should alleviate some of the traffic congestion experienced at the Gympie and Hamilton Roads intersection, and provide more efficient access to Playfield Street and Westfield Chermside.
